AI Enhance

Enhance takes a rough rule and rewrites it into a precise, well-phrased one. Use it when you know the guidance you want but not the cleanest way to say it.

How it works#

Write your rule in the composer however it comes out, then press Enhance. The Enhance rule dialog opens and the rewrite streams in as it is generated.

Enhance reads the whole rule, not just the text, so it can rewrite any of the five parts: the Heading, the rule itself, the Rationale, the Guidance, and the Importance. It can add a part you left empty, or drop one the rule reads better without.

For example, "buttons should look consistent" might come back as a Do rule set to Recommended: "Use the same height, padding, and radius tokens across all button variants so buttons stay visually consistent."

What it changed, and why#

The dialog is not a before-and-after receipt. Each part of the rule is listed with what happened to it, so you can see the shape of the rewrite at a glance:

• Added, where Enhance filled in a part you left empty.
• Removed, where it dropped a part the rule did not need.
• Rewritten or Changed, where it reworked what was there.
• Unchanged, where it left your version alone.

Beside each change sits one plain sentence saying why it was made. A change that spans several parts is listed once, against the rule as a whole.

Edit before you apply#

The suggestion is a starting point, not a final answer. Every field in the dialog is editable, and what gets applied is what you leave behind, not what the model returned.

• Rule and Heading. Adjust the wording so it matches your voice and intent.
• Rationale. Keep it, rewrite it, or clear it.
• Guidance. Change it between Do, Don't, Caution, and Info if the rewrite shifted the framing.
• Importance. Set Required, Recommended, or Optional to match how strict the rule really is.

Apply puts the result back into the composer, where you save it like any other rule. Discard closes the dialog and leaves your original untouched.

Limits#

Enhance runs on the signed-in account and is limited to five requests a minute. Hit the limit and it asks you to retry shortly, leaving your draft as it was.
