Working across brands shouldn’t mean switching your AI tool’s connection every time you move to a different project.
We’ve redesigned Connect and upgraded the UI Rules MCP. You can now connect at the level that fits your work, then tell your agent which brand or project to use within that scope.
Choose your scope
- Organization: Work across the brands and projects you have access to in that organization.
- Brand: Work across projects within one brand.
- Project: Keep the connection focused on one project.
You can also connect your whole account to work across organizations. Every connection uses the access you already have in UI Rules.
For example, connect your organization and ask your agent to work with one brand’s website project. When you move to another brand, tell the agent which brand and project to use next. You can keep the same MCP connection while working within its chosen scope.
Turn on read-only when your tool should reference your rules and design tokens without changing them.
Set up your tool from Connect
The new Connect panel brings setup instructions into one place. Choose your tool and follow its steps, with install buttons where supported, copyable commands, and manual instructions.
You’ll find guides for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Figma Make, Lovable, and more.
Reconnect your AI tools to UI Rules
The UI Rules MCP now uses standard OAuth sign-in. Your AI tool connects by signing in to your UI Rules account, the same way you connect other apps. API keys no longer work for MCP connections.
All existing MCP connections need to be reconnected. Remove UI Rules from your AI tool, then add it again:
- In UI Rules, click Connect in the top bar.
- Choose your tool (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Figma Make, Lovable and others) and follow its steps.
- Sign in to UI Rules when your tool asks.
Repeat this for each AI tool you use, including tools previously connected through a sign-in screen.
