--- title: "Trial" description: "How the app-granted trial works, when it starts, and what happens when it ends." label: "Trial" date: "2026-10-05" --- The trial gives your organization full access for a limited time so you can author a brand and serve it to AI tools before you choose a plan. ## How the trial works - **App-granted.** The trial is granted through a connected app. You do not request it separately. - **No card required.** You can start without entering payment details. - **14 days.** The trial lasts 14 days. - **Starts on first connection.** The clock starts when you first connect an app, not when you sign up. ## What happens when it ends When the 14 days are up, your organization drops to [Starter](/docs/billing/plans). Anything gated to a higher plan becomes unavailable until you upgrade. Nothing is deleted: your first brand and project keep working, and any brands, projects, or members beyond Starter's limits become read-only until you upgrade. Connecting a shadcncraft license is coming, and when it lands it will work on any plan, trial included. Nothing about the trial depends on it. The trial starts on your first app connection, so connect an app when you are ready to begin the 14 days.
